Vegetables.

Yes, yes, many people have told me I should eat my vegetables. Colors, eat the rainbow and all that, but… I never knew how to specifically implement it in a way that was realistic and sustainable given the situation I was in.

How do you go from enjoying and craving hyper-palatable processed foods to routinely eating the right amount, colors, and kinds of vegetables each and every day?

Each day eat a small amount of vegetables more than the day before. Every few days add one more color to your vegetable consumption.

The first day, 1/8 of a cup of vegetables.

The next day, eat 1/4 of a cup of vegetables

Then 1/3 cup (3rd day), 1/2 cup (4th day), and 1 cup of vegetables on the 5th day.

Now aim for 2 colors of vegetables each day.

Day 6 eat 1 cup + 1/8 cup of vegetables.

Day 7: 1 cup + 1/4 cup. Day 8: 1 cup + 1/3 cup. Day 9: 1 cup + 1/2 cup.

Day 10: 2 cups of vegetables including 2 colors.

Continue this progression. Days 11–14 have 3 colors of vegetables with the quantities of 2+1/8, 2+1/4, 2+1/3, 2+1/2.

On day 15 you are eating 3 cups of vegetables with 3 colors total. You are a rockstar and are currently eating more than most people.

Continuing this progression, you can slowly add a small bit of vegetables each day and every few days adding one more color to your vegetable rainbow.

Soon you will reach the desired goal of 1 cup of each color vegetable each day.

The rainbow colors: Red, Orange/Yellow, Green, Blue/Purple, White/Brown

If you are doing the calculations with me, that means that in less than 30 days you can go from eating no vegetables to eating one cup of each of the 5 main colors every day.
